Sounds like your graphics card is overheating and crashing to protect the components. Try running a hardware monitor to see what your temps are getting to.

I suggest clearing out your cache data and if that doesn't work, re-install the game. However, there is a patch being deployed now, this may fix the problem for you.

This also occurs on my system which most notably also uses a 260GTX. Updating to the newest driver version appears to reduce the rate at which this occurs. (For me anyway)
